Chloë is delighted to be hosting a clothing repair workshop for Mend in Public Day as part of Fashion Revolution Week.

Over 15 years, Chloë has built a business around her love of fashion, fabrics and textile reuse, but most specifically rescuing beautiful remnants from landfill.

Her award winning sustainable profession, has taken her to Milan and London Fashion Weeks, and also seen her work in the likes of publications such as The Times, Cosmopolitan, Vogue and Elle.

Her obsession with repurposing textiles, has now led to the art of repair, resulting in a fabulous commission from Manchester Art Gallery, of her now very well known Couture Applique Patches.

In this creative workshop at Yalham Hayes’ beautiful barn, Chloë wants to focus on denim and the different ways we can mend, alter, applique and patch with offcuts and a blend of embroidery, borro, sashiko elements, using beautiful offcuts donated from The Royal Opera House and stitching with natural plant dyed thread.

This will be a relaxed three hour session where you’ll bring your own garment or accessory and Chloë will supply all the equipment needed to aid your ‘mend’ plus one of her a stunning applique patches to choose from and to take home with you.

During the workshop, coffee/tea will be served and delicious cakes will be on offer too.

This workshop is aiming at anyone who is a beginner to experienced skills. Chloë will be on hand to guide and problem solve with you, so you come away with an item that you can cherish for many more years to come.
